To be able to reuse material, you first have to know what you are dealing with. Madaster, a materials library, makes this possible for the enormous amount of resources in the construction industry.

The Madaster platform provides digital tools, such as material passports and indices on the economic and circular value of buildings, for sustainable construction and property management. On one hand, collecting more information about the composition and technical properties of building elements during the design phase sheds light on their value and associated risk when a property is converted or demolished. On the other hand, it simultaneously enables future reuse of these materials. For this purpose, digitised data from the planning phase must be incorporated, processed and made transparent in the subsequent phases of a building’s life cycle.

As a partner of Madaster Switzerland from the very beginning, we help builders and property owners to carry out circular construction planning and to analyse pre-existing structures on the basis of a material passport. Thanks to BIM and Madaster, we can now plan buildings over their entire lifetime. We develop Madaster-compatible BIM models and offer comprehensive advice on selecting materials and construction methods for circular buildings.
