A large skylight covered by a cast-iron grating and two other ventilation shafts are the only elements that allow this underground garage to be perceived from outside. A concrete slab spans the column-free, almost square parking garage. It is accessed from the side via a lift, which is unnoticeable in the courtyard when lowered, as the roof of the lift is completely integrated into the paved courtyard surface.
The remise's new underground floor adds more precision to the style of the already converted residential rooms. Thus, the direct transition from the contemporary to the historicising only takes place underground, from the parking garage to the cellar.
For construction of the parking garage and the remise's cellar, the neighbouring structures were underpinned where necessary. The new underground structure is made entirely of reinforced concrete.
